November 2009
Since I had last updated my site there has been a lot of news! Six weeks ago during training in Whistler, Canada I had a crash
while training. I dislocated my hip and due to my hip being out of the socket for about 2 hours, it bruised and stretched
a major nerve down my leg! Also, in the process I tore a muscle and partially tore another. From the trauma to the nerve
I actually lost majority of feeling and movement from the knee to my foot. Thanks to our amazing staff and doctors at
Bisham Abbey, I have made almost a full recovery! I will get back onto the ice next week and see how the leg will perform
back on the sled! I still do not have full control over my foot because of the nerve damage but it has improved significantly
since the crash. I am very much so looking forward to getting back onto the sled once again!
Also, on a different
note, I was sponsored from a person who is truly an inspiration to me and many others! Russ Malkin, who founded Big Earth
Production Company which made great documentaries traveling across the globe such as Long Way Round, and Long Way Down, has
greatly helped me in order to buy a new state-of-the-art sled! I will be sliding on the sled next week and am very much so
looking forward to sliding on it! He came to meet me yesterday at Bisham Abbey, and it was truly an honour to meet him and
I will be looking forward for him to make it out to a World Cup race and ultimately the Olympics Winter Games in Vancouver!!
As of today there are 90 days until the Olympics! Thank You Russ for all your help!!

A.J. holds a Dual Citizenship with Great
Britain and the U.S. His mother is British, and his father American. While he originally trained with the
US Development Team, and was also the US Luge Junior 1 Champion when 14 (for athletes 17 and under), A.J. was not
invited to participate in the World Cup Circuit, missing out on races every other week, longer training time and better
equipment which every athlete needs to get ahead. SO, he never made it to Number 1 again, and was dropped
before his 18th Birthday. HOWEVER, it all worked out GREAT, as A.J. is now Number 1 in Great Britain in Luge for
2005, came in 16th in the 2006 Winter Olympic Games and actually beat 2 of the 3 American Lugers he had been bypassed
for! All is well that ends well! Plus, A.J. says " I love learning about my British heritage through my fellow teammates
and coaches. I have a GREAT coach, Tommy Zeitz who was in the Olympics also, and life is good! "I would LOVE some SPONSORS
though...." While A.J. qualified for every World Cup Race for the 06-07 Season (a British FIRST), he was unable
to travel to the British Championship Race due to lack of funding..

| After finishing a run at Whistler - Feb. 2010 |
Hi! Welcome to my website.
I hope you will find it full of information, and if you have any questions - all you have to do is email me in the space provided.
I love the sport of luge, and have been competing Internationally for just 5 seasons. When I first started on the World
Cup Circuit in 2003, I didn't know the tracks at all, but that is slowly changing. I love the speed of luge, the different
people I meet, the different foods, and if there is anything you would like to know from any of the countries I visit - just
let me know! This upcoming 2008-09 Season, I will be traveling to Germany, Austria, Canada,Lake Placid, Italy, Latvia
and seeing the new track at Vancouver! My email address is ajrosen2010@aol.com
